WELCOME NPHS students and parents to Mrs. Walker's web resource for the 2011-2012 academic year at Newbury Park High School. Many things you need to know for Mrs. Walker's European/World History AP/Honors, Psychology IB, IB Psychology H1 - Research Methods,Psychology AP classes and Mock Trial can be found here including daily agendas, homework and due dates, archived agendas and grades. Agendas, homework and pertinent information are updated regularly as changes come about throughout the instructional day.

Students and their parents can access course agendas on the links on the menu bar at the top of this page. Class handouts, discussions, wikis and related resources can be accessed through a password protected class Moodle. Students register and sign in. Parents can access as a guest using the key given at the beginning of the school year. The top row of the menu bar is the portal to course home pages and agendas. To access course Moodle, click on the course on the lower row.

Students enrolled in European/World History AP/Honors will find the term one project 2011 here. Getting a good start during the summer prepares students for the class and makes the work load at the beginning of the school year easier to manage.


EUROPEAN & WORLD HISTORY AP/HONORS

European and World History classes are year-long and alternate days. Grades are updated regularly and can be checked online through Zangle. Assignments and abridged chapters from History of the Modern World are available in pdf format and can be downloaded for student use. The free Adobe Reader is required to access pdf documents.

... NPHS Mock Trial

Its more than a club, more than a class; its MOCK TRIAL. Learn about the judicial system, improve your analytical abilities and communication skills, work with real attorneys and professionals.

NPHS Mock Trial is a competitive club that meets in C-9 Monday afternoon from 3:15 to 4:45 and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00. We scrimmage on Saturdays and some evenings during the week. Interested students can learn more by attending meetings and try out for roles.
